Stefano Ark, also known as “The Martian,” is an alternative artist from London, now based in
Manchester, UK. Born on 13 August 1997, his passion for the arts emerged early, fuelled by
a deep interest in theatre and sound design. He began songwriting in 2009, often crafting
multiple pieces daily throughout his school years. This relentless creativity laid the
foundation for his distinctive style and immersive storytelling.

Influenced by horror and thriller cinema, Stefano draws inspiration from iconic directors such
as Alfred Hitchcock, particularly the chilling soundscapes of Psycho. His fascination with
cinematic tension led him to study acting and Music Technology, culminating in a bachelor’s
degree in 2020. This background sharpened his ability to weave filmic suspense into music,
a hallmark of his signature sound.

Stefano’s artistry is deeply theatrical, brought to life through his alter egos, STeVe and The
Moon Man. These personas embody his love for drama and intensity, adding layers of
animated yet ominous storytelling to his music. Drawing from cult cinema and graphic
novels, his songs unfold like surreal anti-hero narratives, blending haunting atmospheres

In 2024, Stefano launched The Martian: Live tour, debuting at The Eagle Inn in Salford. The
